Is your Google Analytics not working or showing no site visits? Does it show that its receiving data but not showing any statistics? Try the following to ensure its all set up correctly. Sometimes its something simple!

• Ensure you are using the correct code as shown in your Analytics Profile.
• Check you have inserted the tracking code in the correct place, this is usually in the head section but sometimes in ASP.Net it can be better placed at the bottom.
• If you have other JavaScript or jQuery scripts in your page ensure the variables are not named the same and also check that the ga.js has no naming clashes compared to your site code.
• If using a CMS check the code it injects into the page hasn't got whitespaces or strange characters in it.
• If using a CMS ensure that the code hasn't been truncated.
• If you copy and paste your tracking id ensure it has no spaces in it.
• View the source code served in the browser to ensure the tracking code appears as it should. Compare it to the code in your Analytics profile.
• Check your Google Analytics filter settings especially if you have moved hosts or have updated your site or your internet connection. Your IP address may have changed.
• If you have more than one Analytics account make sure you are using the relevant one for the site you are looking at.
• If its been less than 24 hours since you installed or changed the tracking code Google sometimes hasn't caught up and may not reflect the changes.
