Yes choosing a host is a potential minefield and takes care and research to find the right hosting company. Fortunately you have us to do all that for you, we can offer advice and help on choosing a host and when we make you a site we always give you the choice of using your own host if you have one you trust or we can recommend one that we or some of our other clients use.

We wont set you up with a host we are resellers for, have financial ties with, are friends with, found on Ebay or anything else like that. We will only give you the choice of hosts we have paid to use ourselves without any issues. There is nothing worse than seeing a site not found page or something like that, its anger inducing and embarrassing. We know we have been there too.

As for domains, its quite difficult to find a domain name that suits your site or company and isn't always just a case of choosing a name. Domains can have an affect on things like SEO and Geo-Location, for instance there is no point having a dotcom domain if you only serve the UK. A good domain name can be really important.

Also you have to be wary of domain resellers as some of them are little more than con artists and won't allow you to transfer domains and things like that. So we take a view that when you purchase a domain its yours to do what you want with.
